Mayweather vs Mosley
By Gene Farris, USA TODAY
While Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley were visiting USA TODAY Wednesday to talk about their May 1 fight, we asked them some questions submitted by readers:
Q: What are the advantages and disadvantages of being trained by your fathers?
— Joseph Bates, Illinois
Mayweather: He's a great guy. Me and my dad had a great boxing relationship … we didn't have that (personal) relationship.
When he left my life, I was a teenager; when he came back into my life, I was an adult.
Mosley: He's always been there; he's always been like my big brother. … My father's been loving and caring and let me speak my voice.
MAYWEATHER-MOSLEY: De La Hoya helps hype bout
Q. (to Mosley): Are you going to make the same mistake Oscar De La Hoya made, chasing Floyd and pressing him on the ropes? (De La Hoya's Golden Boy Productions is promoting the fight.)
— Jonathan Zondo, South Africa
Mosley: I'm not going to just chase him around. You can't change who you are. We'll see who can outwill the other.
Q. What brand glove will you be wearing for your upcoming fight?
— Ricco Fulford, Pennsylvania
Mayweather: I'm not sure, could be whatever.
