Mayweather vs Mosley
Sacramento Fight Sports Examiner | Rick Rockwell
It didn’t take long before Floyd Mayweather Jr started criticizing Manny Pacquiao for his fight with Joshua Clottey. Mayweather ripped on Pacquiao’s in-ring performance, bragged about himself, and once again questioned if Manny is on PEDs. Let’s examine his comments further.
"I think Pacquiao gave the fans a boring fight, he was punching his arms for all 12 rounds." FMJ, Cagereport.net
What a surprise, Mayweather criticizing Pacquiao’s performance against Clottey. Forget the fact that Pacquiao tried to punch his way through Clottey’s arms. Forget the fact that Manny tried to hit every exposed body part. And forget that Pacquiao was willing to take Clottey’s punches just to try and get Clottey to open up.
Of course Mayweather says he provides more action. And that his upcoming fight against Mosley will be more exciting.
“At least when you watch Floyd Mayweather you know you’ll be seeing non-stop action for 30 minutes straight and that’s what you’ll see on May 1st .” FMJ, Cagereport.net
Mayweather is the king of dancing and ducking in a fight, yet he still thinks that he provides more action. Pure delusions by Floyd Jr.
“Personally, I think Pacquiao got exposed in that fight for being one-dimensional. You can have all [the] offence ability in the world but with no defense you’re not going to last long against a good counter puncher such as myself.” FMJ, Cagereport.net
There was nothing in that fight that could be construed as an “exposing” of Manny. Pacquiao clearly let Clottey punch him in effort to get Clottey to open up, not because he has no defense. All Mayweather can do is counter punch and run off. Let’s see him do that with Pacquiao who is just as fast, strong, and savvy as Mayweather Jr.
Jacob Franklin Sacramento, CA “Are Floyd’s latest comments about Pacquiao’s fight with Clottey made out of jealousy or ignorance?”
I think they are made out of both and the desire to fill his egotistical desires. It was just a matter of time before Floyd made these comments. We all know that he thinks Pacquiao is beneath him in every way. I’m honestly surprised that Mayweather wasn’t doing full commentary for the Grand Rapids Press during the fight. That way he could have spent an hour hyping up himself and another 30 minutes bashing Pacquiao.
If all of these comments weren’t enough to rub Manny fans the wrong way, Mayweather had to throw out hints about HGH. This will never end until Manny KO’s Mayweather Jr during a random blood test.
